# Connect Seerr

Connect Jellyseerr, Overseerr, or Seerr to Kochab for the Requests tab.

Kochab uses the Seerr API (Overseerr-compatible) for the Requests tab. One
connection covers **Jellyseerr** (for Jellyfin), **Overseerr** (for Plex), and
**Seerr** - they share the same API, so you add whichever one your household
runs.

## What Kochab exposes through Seerr

- **Requests tab:** pending, approved, available, and declined requests with approve/decline, edit, retry, and delete where the API allows
- **Issues tab:** open issues reported against your titles, across every configured Seerr connection
- **Report an issue:** file a new issue against a title from its detail screen
- **Discover:** Seerr contributes to Kochab's Discover feed alongside your other configured sources
- **Detail surface:** pending/total request counts and link into Requests
- **Push:** new request and approved/denied notifications. Kochab registers the webhook in Seerr for you when you add the service

## Not exposed through Seerr

User management, server/library configuration, discovery settings, and OAuth for household users stay in Seerr's web UI. Now playing and library browsing use Jellyfin/Plex entries separately.

## Before you start

In Jellyseerr, Overseerr, or Seerr: **Settings -> General -> API Key**. Copy the key shown there.

## Default connection

## Add in Kochab

1. Open **Services -> Add service** and choose **Seerr**.
2. Enter your **host**.
3. Set port **5055** unless you use a custom port or proxy.
4. Paste the **API key**.
5. Optionally set a display name like "Jellyseerr" or "Overseerr" so it is easy to spot in your stack.
6. Tap **Test and add**.
