What's new in Kochab 1.3
Album search and editions for Lidarr, a sectioned artist page with a New music row on Home, the reason when a download keeps failing, and plainer error messages.
Find and add albums
Music search now finds albums and tracks, not just artists. Until now, getting one record meant adding the whole artist and then switching off everything you did not want. Now you can add a single album and leave the rest of the catalog alone.
When you add or manage an artist, you also choose how their existing and future albums are monitored. Adding an artist you only half like no longer queues up their entire back catalog, and a new release from a favorite can still arrive on its own.
Pick the edition you want
Many albums come in several editions: the original, a deluxe version, a remaster. You can now see every edition of an album and switch which one Lidarr tracks. Switching can unlink files you already have, so Kochab warns you first and you decide before anything changes on disk.
A sectioned artist page
Artist pages are now grouped into albums, singles, and other release types, with the next release at the top. A long discography is easier to scan, and you can see what is coming before you scroll.
Album pages use square covers with the status underneath, so the art is not cropped. In search, an album and a single with the same name are labeled by type, so you can tell them apart.
Home has a new row for recent albums. If you follow a lot of artists, new music shows up next to everything else you check, without opening Lidarr.
Why a download keeps failing
When a title keeps failing, Kochab now says how many times it has failed and why. A single failure is often noise; the same failure five times usually needs you to change something, and now you can see which case you are in.
Import problems and release rejection reasons are written in plain words instead of codes. Sportarr downloads show event names.
Smaller things
Admins can delete a Seerr comment. Trakt, Plex, and Seerr sign-in is saved right away on a service you already set up, and the Trakt sign-in code is shown and copied before Trakt opens, so you can paste it straight in.
Restore from Backup shows a short list of what will change before you confirm. Remove confirmations say what else is removed. The Report an issue button now sits next to Add to Watchlist. On Android 10 to 14, the app draws edge to edge.
Fixes: starting a container from Portainer works again, and Lidarr’s Fix import handles a different edition and files already on disk. The Downloading filter shows only active downloads, and the time left no longer hides under the icon.
