What's new in Kochab 1.5
Links between services and their containers, Synology two-step sign-in, watched and favorite actions on your media servers, Plex maintenance tasks, and restyled charts.
Services and their containers
Most self-hosted services run in a container, but until now Kochab treated the two as strangers. Sonarr was down on one screen; its container sat on another.
Now you link a service to its container once. After that, when the service is down, you can start or restart its container from the service page. That is usually the first thing anyone tries, and it no longer means hunting for the right container in a list.
Linked services also show container updates and the storage behind their download folders, so you can see a full disk or a pending image update from the page you were already on.
Synology two-step sign-in
You can now sign in to Synology with an account that uses two-step verification, and remember the device so you are not asked for a code every time.
Download Station also gains controls for the whole queue, the files inside a torrent, and folder changes for tasks that are waiting or have errored. A task stuck on the wrong folder can be pointed at another one.
Watched and favorites
On Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby you can mark movies, shows, and episodes watched or unwatched. It helps when you watched something somewhere your server could not see, or want to start a show over. On Jellyfin and Emby you can also manage favorites.
Plex maintenance
You can run Plex’s scheduled maintenance tasks now instead of waiting for the overnight window, and see progress where Plex reports it. Plex and Emby also show more detail about each transcode, which helps when you are working out why a stream is struggling.
Smaller things
TrueNAS lets you read virtual-machine diagnostic logs and start stopped apps from their linked service pages.
Charts have a new look: glowing lines, donut charts for some breakdowns, and dates you can read at a glance. When the data refreshes, a selection stays on the category you picked instead of jumping to another one.
In Sportarr, editing a league keeps the overrides you set on single events and asks whether new settings should apply to events already scheduled. Games that have started read In progress.
For purchases, a payment that is waiting for approval stays marked as waiting, and a purchase you already own can be recovered.
Fixes cover Tracearr user names, Tdarr history and space-saved charts, and Unraid now reports disks missing from a started array.
The full list is in the changelog.
