Connect Tdarr
Add Tdarr to Kochab for staging approvals, node controls, and transcode error reports.
Tdarr processes media files on one or more nodes. Kochab focuses on the decisions and failures that need attention, not live progress charts.
What Kochab exposes through Tdarr
- Staging approvals: accept or reject completed and stranded transcodes
- Node controls: pause or resume a node and change each worker limit one step at a time
- Warnings: missing or paused nodes, queued work with no workers, stalled workers, and jobs the host cannot process at a practical speed
- Errored files: files marked with a transcode error and their latest job report
- Space reclaimed: the total reported by Tdarr after approved files are applied
Not exposed through Tdarr
- Live progress bars or ETA countdowns
- Plugin or flow authoring
- Creating or editing libraries
- Tdarr’s status tables and dashboard charts
Before you start
If Tdarr authentication is enabled, copy the API key from Tdarr’s authentication settings. Kochab stores it in the device keychain and sends it in the x-api-key header.
Default connection
| Field | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Port | 8265 |
| Scheme | http by default, https if you have set it up |
| Auth | Optional API key in the x-api-key header |
Add in Kochab
- Open Services -> Add service and choose Tdarr.
- Enter the URL of the Tdarr server (for example
http://192.168.1.10:8265). - If authentication is enabled, paste the API key.
- Tap Test and add.
Base path behind a reverse proxy
If you serve Tdarr under a path (for example https://example.com/tdarr), include that path in the URL you enter. Kochab appends the API routes to whatever base you give it.
TLS
Self-signed certificates use the same trust flow as other services. See Certificate trust.
Tips
- Tdarr does not send generic webhooks, so Kochab refreshes these conditions while the app is open.
- A node with queued work and every worker limit at zero cannot process that queue. Raise the matching limit from the node card.
- Accepting a staged transcode is when Tdarr applies the output and updates the reclaimed-space total.
